Psalm 65:9-10

“You visit the earth and cause it to overflow; You greatly enrich it; The stream of God is full of water; You prepare their grain, for thus You prepare the earth. You water its furrows abundantly, You settle its ridges, You soften it with showers, You bless its growth.”

How good was your best bite of food yesterday?

In our house we LOVE good food!

In fact there may be no more fun moment of the week than the second all three of the kiddos are in bed and we raid the fridge:

Some double cream brie, some super thin slices truffle hard salami, some paper-thin sliced honeycrisp apples, some extra hard cranberry toasts…

But where does it all come from the sweet cream, apples, cranberries. The sturdy grains. The fat and the truffle… Where?

From the rain He brings, from the soil He enriches, from the minerals He deposits.

We live on a very tight budget, but even so we desire to make our “bites” an act of rememberance of His provision, His faithfulness, and His power.

His pallete is far more complex and varied than ours… But if we look, taste, and see…

We will find that the LORD is good!
