Ecosexual Students Consumate Their Oceanic Love

Reason number 7182 why (especially state funded) higher education should be avoided: science (…or something.)

Not even sure what this qualifies under: lesboceanic studies, innerseasensuality, anthroeconormativeness?

Earlier this month, a professor at Santa Monica College led students in an ‘EcoSexual Sextravaganza’ in which participants ‘married the ocean.’

The purpose of the “wedding” was to bring about a deeper love for the planet through “ecocentric passion and even lust.”

The ceremony began with a former SMC student, proclaiming to those gathered, “today we stand upon this holy earth and in this sacred space to witness the rite of matrimony between the sea and us all.”

Next, leaders of the event distributed rings to the students, announcing “with this ring, I bestow upon the sea the treasures of my mind heart and hands—as well as my body and soul. With the power vested in us, we now pronounce you ‘married to the sea.’”

Some students then made their way down to the water, where they were urged by event organizers to “consummate” the marriage and “make love with the water.”

The event was “funded” by several campus groups with the main sponsorship coming from the university’s Public Policy Institute.

Because…it was super expensive to go make love to the ocean?

Last question.

If it were you would you actually pose for the picture taken of the group?

You do know–people–the interwebs live forever!

Oh wait… There’s also a video.

How Useless The Public School

It’s somewhat colloquial but I am under the belief that it could be proven statistically that home-schooled and private-faith-schooled students get far superior educations. The amount of non-sense that they do not have to deal with–all by itself–is a factor that seems to point to a better stewardship of the student’s time.

But today I wanted to give you a snapshot in Western Civilization’s public education and see if you had any reaction to it.

STOPPING BULLYING THAT IS HAPPENING IN SOMEONE’S IMAGINATION:

Robert Spencer relayed a story today from Diane Palmer that indicates the current approach the federal Department of Education is willing to take to prevent almost non-existent bullying from occurring.

The U.S. Department of Education calls educators to include Islam in the curriculum to address the bullying of Muslim students.

The Department of Education (DOE) in the U.S. encouraged educators to be more responsible in protecting Muslim students from bullying by teaching Islam in class. Many people rejected the demands of the DOE’s instructions by saying that it is inappropriate to bring up religion in class.

The DOE posted instructions on their website urging teachers to include Islam in classroom discussions. Educators are encouraged to incorporate experiences of Muslim people into the curriculum through current events, social studies and children’s literature.

The alleged bullying is said to be largely based on the lack of information about the religion and the tendency to associate Islam with terrorism. Although no firm statistics show how often Muslim students are bullied, activists claim that the numbers became higher after the attacks of 9/11, according to Huffington Post.

A 2010 survey of 57 Muslim teenagers aged 11 to 18 reported being called a name because of their faith. About 80 percent of the respondents also said they have been called a ‘terrorist’.

DOE cites an increase in incidents targeting the Muslim community due to the 10 incidents that happened nationwide. Of the 10 events, two resulted in assaults, three reported the vandalism of mosques, five involved alleged threats and intimidation and only one involved a student inside school.

So… no firm statistics, supposedly huge increase in bullying (since 2001), which the closest they got to explaining was 57 students and 10 incidents in 2010?

And the trade out for all that there… Is to instruct our local schools to include Islam into the curriculum.

I’d much rather they study the book of the Gospel of John.

But on a public university campus you aren’t even allowed to invite fellow college kids to an event if it is “tainted” with any trace of Christianity–unless you ask the university’s permission via obtaining a permit!

A permit is required before students can talk about Jesus at North Carolina State University, according to a lawsuit filed in federal court.

Grace Christian Life, a registered student group at NC State, filed suit over a policy requiring a permit for any kind of student speech or communication anywhere on campus – including religious speech.

In September 2015, the student group was told that without a permit, they must stop approaching other students inside the student union to engage in religious discussions or invite them to attend group events.

“It’s an amazingly broad speech restriction, Alliance Defending Freedom attorney Tyson Langhofer told me. “Public universities are supposed to be the marketplace of ideas, not places where students need a permit just to exercise their constitutionally protected freedoms.”

And in another corner of Western Civilization we are now going to be lectured about asking our 4 year olds about which gender we should be “supporting them” with.

Parents have been left furious after receiving a letter instructing them to help their four-year-olds choose a gender before they start primary school.

Brighton and Hove City Council sent a letter to hundreds of families telling them which school their child would attend in September but asked them to respond with which gender their child preferred.

Along with the main text in the letter, there was also a note next to the check-box for male/female explaining that the national recording system only gives two options for gender but to help their child choose a gender they most identified with.

Brighton and Hove City Council sent a letter to hundreds of families telling them which primary school their child would attend and asked parents to record which gender their child most ‘identified with’.

It read: ‘We recognise that not all children and young people identify with the gender they were assigned at birth or may identify as a gender other than male or female, however the current systems (set nationally) only record gender as male or female.

‘Please support your child to choose the gender they most identify with. Or if they have another gender identity please leave this blank and discuss with your child’s school.’

Parents have criticised the move claiming children should be allowed to ‘enjoy their innocence’.

They also described it as a ‘dangerous approach’ since four-year-olds do not yet have an adult view of the world or fully understand gender roles.

So in jolly-old-UK (like our sister-land), where I’m pretty sure Muslims already out-number committed Christian believers, and soon will out number casual tag-alongers as well, it’s super important that we let our developing pre-schoolers know that if they’d rather wear a dress than acknowledge their penis then it’s A-OK with the nanny-state.

Public Schools… emphasizing EVERYTHING except learning to read, write, and think with sound mind.

It’s like that poet-laureate of Chicago said a couple of years ago. “Hide yo kids, hide yo wife!”
