Smoking Gun Week Continues… Obama Knew About The Emails

It appears the President is now directly implicated in lying about when and what he knew about Hillary’s emails. In separate interviews with Steve Croft of 60 Minutes, and Bill Plante of CBS News the President outright denied knowledge of Hillary’s emails in advance.

It’d have been better if he had told the truth.

Ah well… Here’s video of him lying followed by the email that proves that the Hillary people were working hard to “clean up the mess” of his lying, because he was lying to help “HER.”

And my listeners had a bit to say as people weighed in on reaction:

The Moral Mandate To Defeat Hillary

This past week a talk radio colleague created a stir when she asserted that those who were refusing to vote for Donald Trump on moral grounds were both misguided but also hypocritical.

She went so far as to describe those that did not choose to support the only candidate who can defeat Hillary Clinton as in essence supporting the expansion of abortion.

Laura Ingraham was correct in her assertions.

Though I do not make any assumption of intent to do so, I very much agree that those who refuse to stop Hillary, are assisting her efforts. On the campaign trail this year she has pledged to quadruple the current tax-payer funding of Planned Parenthood. We currently send more than one half billion tax dollars to the organization that kills 387,000 children per year (and increasingly in turn makes more money from the selling of their body parts.) Hillary has pledged to quadruple these efforts.

So if you’re comfortable with Hillary Clinton spending two billion of our tax dollars (money you work hard for to feed your kids with) to kill upwards of 1.2 million children, then do nothing.

But the moral mandate to oppose Clinton goes far beyond the killing of unborn children.

Her economic policies would continue the choking regulations on small businesses. Doing so means fewer jobs are created. Fewer people feeding their families. Fewer people doing good with their tithes and charitable giving. Fewer resources to ever help those who have fallen through the cracks. She has no plan to address the issues of the urban centers. She has not met and formulated action plans with community leaders in Detroit, Chicago, Philadelphia, Baltimore, and DC. She has no plan to help end addiction, dependency, and entitlement drains. She is fine with allowing those who are suffering to continue to suffer, so long as they vote for her. This approach is morally wrong, not merely fiscally.

Her national security positions are impossible to trust. She openly flaunted national security concerns by installing and using a nearly completely unsecured server. Her shrug-of-the-shoulder approach to classified information being left vulnerable on her server stood in sharp contrast to nearly every military or intelligence official who has had their statuses revoked for much smaller infractions. Considering also that the FBI agents who worked the case investigating her unanimously felt she should never be given a security clearance again should be telling. Considering that the six DOJ attorneys who worked her case believed she should’ve been prosecuted should seal the deal as to whether the moral trust the nation will have to put in it’s top intelligence officer. Indifference to the law is as immoral as breaking it. Her willingness to ignore the plight of the boys in Benghazi, lie to their families faces and ask Congress “what difference it made” also speaks to her willful and immoral lack of care for those in her charge. She is morally compromised, and demonstrated it while serving in government.

Her approach to the rule of law speaks loudly to the lack of moral code she would continue to encourage at higher office. Everything from encouraging Black Lives Matter to go further in disturbing law and order in their protests, to making smarmy and arrogant jokes while wholesale denying things we later found out to be true speaks to her own willingness to skirt any law that is inconvenient for her. She is without equal in public brazenness and overly prideful in defying lawful orders, subpoenas, and court instruction. Not ironically those are usually issued because of an earlier refusal to comply with written laws.

Lastly and perhaps the most important reason that she must be opposed on moral grounds is very simple: we’re not merely electing one person to one position. The president will bring with them nearly 3000 bureaucrats. Which leads those not committed to stopping Hillary to answer some tough questions.

For instance, what’s the rigorous intellectual difference between what Laura Ingraham said and what conservatives have argued about democrats who claim to be pro-life but refuse to raise a finger to stop

Every argument made to vote for Bush in 2000 once Keyes and Bauer were out of the running was “he’s better than Gore… even if imperfect. Every argument made for McCain was that while he may have not been a perfect conservative we would get more from him than Obama. The same for Romney.

You fight the battle for purity in the primary, but you should fight for the survival of civilization in the general.

It’s not just Trump v Clinton. It’s Pence v. Kaine. It’s it’s Cristie vs. Lynch. It’s Ken Blackwell vs. Cheryl Mills. It’s a cabinet of competence vs a cabinet of corruption.

To continue to pretend that “doing nothing” is in some way being pro-life at this time is rigorously intellectually, and mathematically false.

It makes me uncomfortable to have to level such confrontation in writing. I have so many cherished friends who likely disagree with me here. But what I’ve said is true.

If you are not committed to stopping Hillary—especially on moral grounds—then you are helping her win.

And if good people choose to do nothing, then evil prospers.

Sir Edmund Burke would be the first to say so.

Friday Food Stuff: Barolo Week(s) at Eataly NYC

As a public figure who has his formal education in journalism and theology, and spent the majority of my career observing sociopolitical cultural issues, and who has only recently opened himself up to the idea of opining on things beyond those narrow spheres I am unsure how my thoughts on food and the life we draw from it will be received.

But being a lover of food, and not just for the nourishment it brings us, but for the intangibles of life we live around it, I’ve decided to share them anyway.

As a small boy some of my favorite times spent with my mom, in particular, centered on trying to learn what she knew about food. She was not fancy. She did not think of herself as gourmet, and we were poor. Which meant we opened more things out of cans than most.

But I didn’t know that because she did all she could to try to make me and our family feel loved through the preparations she served us.

I think about Mom a lot, especially on Saturday mornings.

That’s when #DaddyChefKMC takes to the kitchen and now my three anklebiters climb up to the center island and talk to me as we make the from-scratch-bourbon-vanilla pancakes every Saturday.

We laugh, we talk, and then we eat… And as it should be, we spend time just being.

And there’s the food, right in the center of it all.

Food is not merely the fuel for our bodies, but it is the embodiment of life.

So be warned, in addition to my observations of all things cultural (here at The Binge Thinker,) and in addition to our new series Resource Strategies (ideas to help you live life to the fullest,) we’re adding “Friday Food Stuff” and what it will be I won’t always know. But if you’ve followed my Instagram you know that I love food. (So why not share a love with you that you may love too?)

Which brings me to this past week.

With the craziness of my work schedule, and with the long string of contacts with the public I’ve gathered over the course of a career spent in media, I’ve been invited to some pretty amazing things.

Lunch at Manhattan’s famous FlatIron Eataly was certainly one of them.

But not just any lunch… In fact it was more of an education.

I have for the better part of my adult food life decided that my favorite all time region of the planet for great wine is Chateauneuf-du-Pape in France. In fact my bride and I have a taste for wines from across the Rhone valley but we’ve always been drawn to the CDP’s in particular.

This week at the invite of Barolo Wines I sat down to taste a flight of six vintages that they were kicking off “Barolo Weeks” in the Eataly eateries across the globe. (Eataly simultaneously had “white truffle week” corresponding.) Barolo is one of the finest vintages of the FontanaFredda winery in the Piemonte region of Italy.

The six vintages we tasted were: Serralunga D’Alba (of the Barolo Riserva) 2010, 2005, 2000, 1999, 1998, 1996.

These six verticals have recently been put together in a boxed set for Barolo that retails for between $800-$1000 per set.

Long story short… this was fantastic wine. They also poured (just for fun) the Barolo 1967 and the Barolo Riserva 1982.

Since the day I attended the event I had a good deal of work to yet accomplish my tastes were truly that, just tastes (leaving more in each glass than I consumed–and they were short tasting pours to begin with.)

But to my palette here’s how they drank to me:

Serralunga D’Alba 2010 – The nose had big ripe cherry notes, the mouth was full-bodied, and just the right acid finish. I am a big fan of big reds and this younger (youngest of the vintages we tasted) had some of my favorite notes. Paired with  Carne Cruda E Funghi. img_8332

Seraalunga D’Alba 2005 – The nose had big fruit up front, spicy and balsamic on the mouth, and a finish that to me seemed to evaporate as quickly as it came.

Serralunga D’Alba 2000 – The nose was rich, ripe, red fruit, a very balanced mouth of cinnamon and clove hints, and a very satisfying long finish.

Serralunga D’Alba 1999 – Only a year removed from the 2000 but by far my favorite of the entire tasting. Garnet red, with perhaps slight orange hues in the color, a full nose with hints of mint, a superb balance on the mouth between ripe fruit and hints of mushroom, and the *perfect* long lasting acidic finish. The structure of this wine was one of the most perfect I’ve ever tasted. Paired perfectly with Short Rib over Creamed Polenta with shaved white truffles. img_8333

Serralunga D’Alba 1998 – The nose is floral, fruity, and a bit spicy with notes of liquorice, tobacco, and balsamic hints. The mouth sits very dry, and the finish is a long lasting silky balance.

Serralunga D’Alba 1996 – The nose is a balanced bouquet of mature fruit, mint, and eucalyptus. The mouth is full-bodied, long lasting balanced tannins and good acidity.

The beloved chef at Eataly prepared three courses to pair with these six tastes. The menu incorporated the style and ingredients of the Piemonte region of Italy (the native home of Fontanna Fredda.)

The experience left me with a renewed perspective of Italian wine potential. I intellectually have always known that great wines can come (and do) from regions of every nook and cranny across the globe. But its now a point for me to pursue finding those especially well done vintages that are standing the test of time. And for Barolo Wines the Serralunga D’Alba verticals I’ve identified here definitively are.

Of course it doesn’t hurt to showcase them against the backdrop of Eataly, NYC!

When you vote…

When you vote in an American general election there are two outcomes possible.

There is a proactive consequence and a reactive consequence. In binary math the ultimate outcome is not the proactive outcome but the reactive one.

Primary elections are entirely pro-active. A huge field, multiple realistic options, and an extended season for candidates to raise money and make their case. Had the GOP hand-wringers really wanted to put forward someone that had a different resume than Trump’s they should have worked together proactively to do so. Cruz would have fit the perfect bill. He had the money, the organization, and a bit of the grassroots anger against the establishment. The GOP could have still sported an “outsider” for this disruptive election process, but with a bit more pedigree, and a heck of a lot fewer misfires.

But they didn’t… And now we are on to a binary election.

By the way… ALL General elections in which the binary formula is applied (one of two will be the result) the reactive becomes (by the laws of mathematics) the more important outcome.

Meaning: stopping the greatest negative takes precedence.

You should always attempt to elevate the greatest good in the primary. I know that I did that with clear conscience. But my guy did not win. And now defeating the worst option is what by necessity of saving the republic (or even delaying the decay) is what has to happen.

I’m not a Trump fan, I didn’t vote for him in the spring.

I’d LOVE for him to step aside and give it to Pence, or name Cruz…

I’d support any of those options and good deal many others.

But I would also take those names and people like them in cabinet positions, heads of committees, sitting on the Supreme Court, undoing the Iran deal, stripping the regulations throttling the small businesses of America, stopping Hillary’s quadrupling of Planned Parenthood of tax funds and abortions, and stocking our courts with constitutional purists as vetted by the Federalist Society.

It’s not 1 person we are electing, it is the 3000 appointments that go with it. It is a worldview. Ironically the guy implementing the movement isn’t the strongest on that worldview, but everyone he is putting around him is more conservative than any nominee of my lifetime. I’m not focused on Trump. I see the deficits. But every single person that focuses on him, removing the reality of what 3000 bureaucrats appointed by Clinton will render (Abedeen, Mills, Podesta) — are lying when they say the two sides are equally unacceptable.

They aren’t.

And my entire focus is defeating the reactive outcome of the worst option. And as a believer I do this with a clear conscience.

Why The Women’s “Evangelical Cry” Rings Hollow…

Where were you Beth Moore? Where were you Julie Roys? Where were you Chelsen Vicari?

These three notable women–in evangelical circles–spent much of the early part of this week condemning Donald Trump’s remarks on the Access Hollywood bus from 2005.

As did EVERY male evangelical voice (including myself) over the same period of time.

It’s true. All the ones named, and a good many others, spoke to the reprehensible nature of what Donald Trump’s comments represented in his attitude, heart, and willingness to (in what to date appears to be) boast in an imaginative way of forcing himself upon women, some married.

In the IMMEDIATE aftermath of the tape’s revelation, not only did I condemn the words, but (in what should be an honest and deeply meaningful admission to these female evangelical leaders,) I challenged men (of faith or not) to take a hard assessment of our own hearts, and to admit what none of the women around us would likely believe.

Put bluntly, every man wrestles with sexual, lustful, unbiblical, and ungodly forms of sexual temptation.

If no where else…

Than in our own mind.

I saw some men attempt to be holier-than-thou’s shortly after the tape’s emergence. I saw Coach Doc Rivers say “there’s no locker room talk like that on our team.”

And I’ve seen a bevy of women make public professions that their men would “n-e-v-e-r” say or think any of the things said or implied or anything like what was heard on that bus.

I have bad news to break to these women… they are misinformed.

Different men wrestle with different things but all men battle their brain as it regards sexual thoughts.

Except for the ones who don’t fight it…

Those are the ones much more likely to express just such sentiment around teammates, co-workers, brothers etc.

The bottom line on this is non-debatable, it is indisputable, every man, all men, even the husband you believe is perfectly pure, wrestles.

He sees things you don’t know about. He thinks things he never tells you about. And he on a human level–at times–not always–but at times–desires things he would not normally admit publicly. (Like I said, the ones who no longer fight it, are more likely to say it.)

Donald Trump’s admission brought shame to himself, to his bride, to his children. But he is not alone in dealing with it… nor should we be conned into thinking that any of us are above him.

For the church this moment should’ve become an instant *teaching moment* for honest communication in marriages, honest transparent teaching in churches about God’s design for sex and the truly honest battle that sex is for men.

That’s what we should have done.

Instead we’ve substituted the moment for something far more shallow… presidential politics.

But even on this, their cries of support for Hillary Clinton ring hollow.

To be clear doing anything other than stopping Hillary in the general election works as part of her strategy to get her elected. So not voting, voting third party, voting write-in, are all the equivalent of voting FOR her because of the binary nature of the general election.

Biblically speaking no Christian leader anywhere is on safe terms calling for abstaining from “rendering to” the civil governance what is required. Jesus himself commands us to do our civil duty in addition to doing our spiritual duty.

Likewise even in the Torah the book of Deuteronomy lays out God’s over all instruction for his followers to construct their lives by. He tells us that He has laid before us both “life & death” and that we are literally to “choose life.”

The women that now demonstrate a willful belligerence against the current options sat silent during a hotly contested primary season when an actual born again Christian — man of one wife — could have easily become the nominee and now be opposing Hillary Clinton.

If Beth Moore had as passionately tweeted about the need to be involved, be informed, and be engaged while the purest choices available were up for the choosing it would have been interesting to see how her positive could have helped render a different outcome.

And it is not as though Trump’s past habits of sexual looseness weren’t well documented even in his book “The Art of The Deal.”

These women also are largely ignoring the direct testimony of people like fellow Christian Kellyanne Conway who has repeatedly discussed Trump’s demeanor, change in direction, and why she honestly believes while working with Mr. Trump daily that he is a man in the midst of transformation.

That this is a man who has repeatedly advanced women within his companies, sought out opportunities for them and paid them far more dollars for their efforts than Hillary Clinton has at the Clinton Foundation.

None of this even begins to address the pathetic hypocrisy of these female evangelical leaders in ignoring Hillary Clinton’s own aiding and abetting — not mere sexual harassment, not just “dirty talk,” — actual rape and criminal sexual assault by rapists she represented in court, and one she has been married to for 30+ years.

Donald spoke disturbing comments that God would command for him to put to death in his mind before they ever cross his lips.

But Bill Clinton physically sexually assaulted Kathleen Willey in the halls of the White House, he physically sexually raped Juanita Brodderick while still governor of Arkansas–going so far as to bite through her face to keep her from screaming while he raped her–then telling her to have a doctor “look at that thing” just before leaving. There are 20 other women on record who have never received a just hearing for the actions taken by the former President.

To date these female evangelical leaders have said zero about Hillary’s complicity in helping Bill’s exploits by first approving the women involved, but also attacking them publicly and harshly when they finally spoke up.

I will not judge the motives of these women. But I also can not stand aside and allow them to give this nation to a woman who has pledged to quadruple funding for tax-payer abortion vis a vie Planned Parenthood. 387,000 children a year already being executed by our $500,000,000.00 in tax-payer money shouldn’t be turned into $2,000,000,000.00 and 1,200,000 dead babies.

I understand the frustration of flawed men who sometimes fight it and sometimes don’t fight their sinful sexual nature.

But uninformed ignorance paving a pathway to greater self-destruction by supposedly authoritative voices to the Christian women of our society must not be allowed to stand unanswered.

So enough with the shallow hollow tweets and soundbites.

Let’s begin a real discussion, of the real score, and REALLY try to help real people–especially the lives of our wives, daughters, and families!

Resource Strategies: Life’s Aesthetic Value

When I first announced this new series here at I knew from the start that there would be things I would be challenging myself to consider along with my readers.

Some of these topics will be far from my areas of expertise, additionally, some will take me outside my comfort zone. For both personal and professional reasons there are just some things I’ve never written about.

Today’s topic is one of them.

Growing up in a rigorously sheriffed household overseen by family full of fundamentalist baptists we were always taught that a person’s appearance was rather unimportant–even unspiritual. It was almost a sin in fact to put much emphasis on “looking good.” As a result the desire was to get us to focus on our character and our decision making, and for the most part it worked. Prior to college graduation I had never smoked, had never consumed an ounce of alcohol, was a horrible dancer, and didn’t really understand any connection between aesthetics and their proper place in life. Which was odd because I took art classes and loved the fact that my mother was a gifted painter, sketch artist, and seamstress. Also, everyone in the house was a musician. We loved beautiful sounds and sights, but for some inexplicable reason applying it to our own looks was always discouraged.

As time went by I was able to begin to decipher what was actually moral and what was just plain legalistic control.

Fast forward years down the road.

I now work in New York City. I am seen weekly on Fox News Channel. I host a broadcast that reaches 66 million television households every Saturday night. And I am doing more public speaking than ever in my life.

Last year I decided to lose 30lbs, I am now utilizing the abilities of a personal trainer, and I take more time when getting the few hairs on my head cut, picking out the frames for my glasses, or pocket square for my jacket. I even purposefully focus on attempting to smile more when taking photos, be they with listeners, or for my own public relations materials.

So what happened? Did the content of my character suddenly take a back seat?

I pray not.

But I did begin to realize that whether we wish it to be so or not, people perceive us almost the instant they meet us, and one of the keys to life is not only to make good impressions, but to back them up.

In other words, they can’t see your character coming, but they’ll never get to know your character if they never meet you!

I wanted more expert thoughts on how this can be made practical for you as you read though. The purpose of the Resource Strategies features is to give you concise tools to put into your life so that you are able to “live life to the fullest.”

To help us I turned to my friend Dr. Morris Westfried. He is a widely respected dermatologist with thirty years of board certification, and his medical degree from Yale Medical School. He has experience in some of the widest ranging fields of medicine, everything from the emergency room to pediatrics, but he settled on dermatology. When I asked him why, he simply said, “I can do so much good!”

I asked him his thoughts on why physical appearance in fact does matter.

“Our first perception of other people is based purely on appearance.”

We may not like that this is true, but it is universally. We draw conclusions based on what we see. A black hooded figure with an ISIS flag in one hand evokes something much different in us than your baby daughter riding on her first pony ride.

Dr. Westfried says this is normal, and it starts at birth, “We don’t (can’t) learn the content of someone’s character immediately, this takes time. But we can do much to shape first impressions.”

“About 2 percent of all people will be born with a congenital abnormality, most of them minor. The obvious cosmetic abnormalities are birthmarks such as port wine stains facial red marks, hemangioma, large collections of blood and congenital moles. These are in addition to rarer congenital abnormalities involving eye muscles and bony structures. For congenital birthmarks lasers offer a treatment option. In adolescence to a varying degree teenagers suffer from acne sometimes severe which untreated can persist for years. Severe cystic acne can leave permanent scarring which is easily correctable with micro-needling the insertion of tiny needles to cause a lifting of depressed scars.”

For the young, none of these issues has anything to do with vanity, but their presence can serve up cruel outcomes.

“As we age these issues can still affect us in profound ways.”

Dr. Westfried added, “Later in life some are unfortunate to be damaged by an accident. Think of our brave military who risk their life for our freedom. Burn scars are now more amenable to treatment with lasers to flatten and soften the appearance of these scars.”

“As we age natural changes both from environment and aging occur change in skin color and the effect of gravity and the slowing down of metabolism. The cheeks hollow, the neck sags the lower lids become puffy and we lose hair.”

Dr. Westfried believes we shouldn’t lose heart though.

“Many of these conditions are able to be improved without surgery delivering low level energy to reverse these changes whether through laser, radio frequency, ultrasound, or microwaves. We can tighten skin , shrink fat, remove discoloration, grow hair, remove unwanted tattoo ink, remove unwanted hair and correct scars without downtime.”

The outcomes prove favorable in both the arena of self estimation, but also as it relates to social confidence, interaction with others on the job, at church or synagogue, and in the community.

“As methodologies improve, so does the hope that comes with them.”

When we think about the aesthetic beauty that God gives each of us, its important that we on some level still heed the advice of my fundamentalist upbringing. It is the person inside that is the most important to cultivate. A person’s character can never be fully determined by any external attribute.

But this is not to say that aesthetics are not important. Studies point to the idea that the better we feel about ourselves the better we perform at our tasks. And in a day when the tendency continues to be to casual it out to the max, adding a jacket to the jeans can actually put you in a different mindset going into a meeting with a client.

Treatments like those that Dr. Westfried’s office specializes in are only a part of the answer, and he says that as new solutions continue to evolve in both efficiency and price point, more and more people will be able to have that greater sense of honorable confidence.

“These treatments have great changed as they have evolved over the last fifteen years,” said Dr. Westfried. “And as they continue to improve, we will continue to be able to offer better outcomes for any and all that we attempt to help.”

And I believe people will be truly grateful for their ability to do so!

Dr. Morris Westfried is a top-rated board-certified dermatologist serving patients in Bellmore, Brooklyn and throughout New York City and Long Island. With more than three decades of experience, Dr. Westfried is experienced in treating a wide array of dermatologic issues, including acne, eczema (atopic dermatitis), psoriasis, skin cancer and skin lesions, as well as cosmetic procedures like Botox, dermal fillers and state-of-the-art wrinkle removal using lasers and other techniques.
Dr. Westfried earned his medical degree at Yale University School of Medicine and was selected as the top dermatologist by He’s also an adjunct clinical associate professor of dermatology at Touro College of Osteopathy. Offices in the Tri-State area include The Bronx, Manhattan, and Bellmore, Long Island.

The SHOCKER of 2016!

Like you my Friday evening social media feeds got clogged up with forwards and retweets of a certain someone holding court on an Access Hollywood bus talking to “the boys” about “hot girls” and using exceedingly vulgar references in the process.

Almost immediately I began to see reaction to the lewd and piggish behavior.

Conservatives who have been looking for a way to help Hillary Clinton win just to spite the Trump campaign seemed to have suddenly found a voice. Invoking a sudden demand for purity in their candidate, most of them weren’t out there working very hard when they could have rallied around Ted Cruz early on. Now their pious pronouncements of “how can you vote for this man” seemed to not take into consideration that in not doing so you are working actively to install his opponent whose husband actually raped women and molested interns with cigars.

Liberals who hate Trump began crowing about how immoral it is for someone to vote for him, forgetting that their candidate of choice has a husband who still gets women in their twenties delivered to his penthouse living quarters while she is nowhere near the premises. That she stood beside him knowing his worst deeds were on going, and even attacked the women who spoke out about the mistreatment. She also provided legal defense for a known rapist while laughing at her ability to help him get away with it.

To date we do know that when Trump authored his book he crowed long and loud about his exploits of romantic and sexual conquest. The tape (which included the voice of the cousin of Jeb and George W. Bush egging Trump on) does not seem to indicate as to whether the male member measuring that was being discussed was anything other than stupid 7th grade adolescence. We have no evidence that Trump has ever forced himself on any woman. If he has, it should be as resoundingly condemned and prosecuted as any man should be under the same circumstances. No one should be above the law.

So how does this impact the moral question of which binary option voters of good conscience can support?

Well that is a question that should be answered by each person’s conscience. That the incident was 11 years past, that there is no evidence that Trump has ever done the things he said to the chums on the bus, that he has openly admitted that he has said and done many things he regrets and believes are wrong, that he is seemingly happily married and dotes on his wife—these are all fair points to consider.

Also fair is asking the question as to moral clarity “is there a difference between the two options for president?”

Certainly neither are saints but the question matters regardless.

One supports defunding the tax payer responsibility for the Planned Parenthood murders of pre-born children. The other said that she promises to quadruple the amount of tax-payer dollars Planned Parenthood receives. Evidently sixty million dead pre-born children isn’t enough for her blood thirst, so she figures giving two-billion additional dollars per year will satiate her.

One believes that our military families should always be granted the basic courtesy of being told the truth as to the welfare of their kin as they serve. The other abandoned our boys, lied to their families then shrugged her shoulders at Congress and asked what difference it made.

One believes in recreating all of society unto her own worldview and moral code through the leveraging of the tax code and punishing the most successful. The other believes you should be guaranteed your right to keep what you earn, and to allow the representative process we have to write the laws and enforce legality.

One openly admits his worst failures. The other lies about hers at every turn.

One says America is in trouble. The other believes America is fine.

No doubt the election trail of 2016 has been a humbling experience for Donald Trump and at times verging on humiliating for his wife and children. Being humbled and at times humiliated by our own failures is not a bad thing. In fact it has proven down through the ages to be a very useful motivation for changing one’s behavior and seeking greater sobriety out of life.

The shocker of this election season shouldn’t be that two sinners are running for office. All have sinned and fallen short of God’s standard.

The shocker is the rank dishonesty of his opponent, and the even stinkier rank hypocrisy of the electorate.

I don’t wish to be the moral nanny around the water cooler, but I have challenged men when a group have been ogling over a new staff member, or discussing someone’s “hot wife.” As men we need to be measured by much more than our appetites. And even a simple reminder that the women being discussed in such terms are made by God and in His image has often been a blow to my own conscience.

The shocker of this election cycle is that our two top candidates actually reflect with great accuracy the true moral state of the people of our nation.

They are the mirror of the people that elected them.

They are us, and we asked for them.

It would do us all good, to learn as much as can in this moment about our own hideous but hidden moral pitfalls and concentrate to the best of our ability to avoid them.

For if we want different leaders, then we ourselves must be different people.

And until we are we have little room to point fingers at others.

Funding Our Own Destruction

Why did the Obama administration, according to top Iranian officials, sign a secret pact with Iran? This pact pledged to lift sanctions off of two financial banking institutions that would now be able to openly do business with Iran.

Is it necessary to reiterate that Iran is the number one exporter of terror? They pay $25,000 to the family of many of the suicide bombers that seek to kill Israelis. They are also attempting to dramatically increase their own terror capacity through the development of deliverable nuclear payloads.

The Iranians have also since revealed that these two banks were the primary financiers for the on-going Iranian ballistic missile program.

You may recall the only reason, according to Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama, that we had to go ahead with the Iranian deal was to prevent the two things that would most endanger the free world: Iranian nuclear war heads, and Iranian ballistic missiles.

After President Obama moved forward with the deal–without approval from Congress, nor the American people (not to mention great disdain from our allies)–we learned of side deals that were attached to the original deal.

None of these side deals were released to the American people. The administration felt it more than fulfilled its obligation to “transparency” in allowing us to see 2000 page summaries of the main agreement. But these side deals–all of which have been kept secret–have loomed increasingly important.

As an aside I have a hard time understanding why we had to sign the secret side deal. I mean did President Obama so strongly desire to prove that he had misled the American people by giving massive resources to our worst enemy that he thought, “no one will believe I actually did it without my signature?”

Hubris often leads the arrogant to places so twisted no humane soul can justify.

These secret side deals and back room pacts have haunted Obama and the free world basically since he agreed to secretly go along with them.

In the late spring we discovered that one of the secret pacts gives the Iranians the right to “self inspection” at its most sensitive nuclear sites. In the late summer we learned that a secret side agreement “authorized” the ransom payment of palettes of cash for four wrongfully imprisoned American citizens. In the fall we learned that we had actually begun sending $700,000,000 a month to Tehran for no meritorious reason, thinly disguised as a “savings” to America’s “future amount owed.”

I don’t particularly believe that even speaking to the world’s most dangerous terror state is all that beneficial, but I sure don’t believe that $700,000,000 a month from our treasury ($33,000,000,000.00 to date) has any legitimacy.

The Iranians told us the money we give them will be used for more terrorism. President Obama and Hillary Clinton have both publicly admitted that Iran will use it to fund nuclear and terror objectives.

But nobody needs to be concerned about the nukes right? Because they don’t have any missiles to put them on right? Because you have to be able to deliver a nuclear payload… Right?

Since the nuclear deal was agreed to on our part Iran has defied the rules of what they agreed to by conducting four illegal ballistic missile tests. Each time President Obama has yawned. The United States Navy has been constantly harassed in the Persian Gulf, and our government hasn’t so much as issued a warning to Iran.

On Friday we discovered that Obama and team authorized a secret pact that lifted sanctions off the banks that will now allow Iran to finance the missiles needed to deliver the nuclear payloads they are now developing.

This puts Iran’s nuclear capacity on a far shorter path than the ten years Obama used as a firewall, and the strategy of denying them delivery systems is now also laughable.

If we survive until next January, the next President will be staring an armed Iran dead in the face.

And Obama will have funded all of it.

It’s my prayer that we have a commander in chief that day who exhibits strength in the face of threats, and never blinks when Iran proves they can make good on their threats.

What about you?

Resource Strategies: Ideas To Help You Live Life To The Fullest

I was recently challenged by a long ago listener and friend on something I fully agreed with.

“So is all you cover Hillary and Trump,” came the question. “I would imagine with the ability to reach people that you have, there would be so much more that you could do.”

The words didn’t sting, because even I have grown–at times–predictably bored or exasperated with this election cycle. The options are what they are, I report on the news of the day, and that’s that. Not much more to go on.

But the words of my friend did penetrate deep inside my brain, because the point is a true one. And sometimes you just need to see it from one more perspective to help you get it.

I’ve also realized my life is such a bigger collection of interests, experiences, and I hope goodness in a variety of arenas that I think there might be much more to discover, learn, and spread. This is so especially true for those of us with large media platforms.

I say it on the air all the time but if I really mean it, I have to live it too.

“If we want a different world, we have to grow different people!”

So that’s what my new stream of posts and articles housed here at the Binge Thinker will take space to focus on.

DO NOT WORRY! The political and news analysis that I get paid to give will still be a key portion of my commentary here, but a new category of material will also begin to appear: RESOURCE STRATEGIES: Ideas To Help You Live Life To The Fullest.

Each installment will have singular focus on one area of life. They may be health, financial, relational, spiritual, and various other areas that we just do not discuss in the *breaking news* environment of my on-air commentary. But they will be a resource to you that you can find via #hashtags, topic search, or just casual browsing.

One of the resources I feel truly humbled to be able to bring to the fore in this area are the vast numbers of experts I get to converse with and engage in an on-going, never-ending, always-more-to-be-learned dialogue in these areas of life. So every feature will include some short pithy examinations of the topic, and practical, easy, and helpful take-aways to get you thinking. That is what we do around these parts is it not?

So begin to look for them. You’ll spot them by the light-bulb graphic (the universal symbol for an idea,) filled with gears (because they must be able to function properly,) carved of wood (to represent the work that goes into improving the life you wish to lead.)

And I promise I will do my best to give you great expertise, in compact, simple to use reminders that the most satisfying life we can imagine DOES exist, and it’s within reach, and with basic focus can yet be accomplished.

I look forward to the journey with you!

The Brangelina Confusion

On Tuesday of this week Hollywood’s “most attractive” couple announced their impending divorce.

Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie also expressed an understandable desire to shield their children from media intrusion into their young lives.

The couple, commonly referred to as “Brangelina” had only recently married in 2014, after 12 years of cohabitation.

They also famously used their own willingness to marry as a prop of manipulation during the debate about redefining marriage in the run up to the Supreme Court taking up the subject.

All the while making the excuse that they didn’t wish their children to view marriage as a tool of discrimination.

Rumors swirled when the couple first got together that Pitt had been unfaithful to Jennifer Aniston, and completely unsurprising rumors now persist that Pitt has taken up with another actress in similar fashion.

Pitt and Jolie have proven that beauty is fleeting, attraction momentary, and that marriage is much more than merely a social contract based on emotion.

Their children will indeed experience discouragement, intrusion and turmoil as the fall out descends around them.

The only family they have known will no longer exist.

And they will not be able to blame the media, their fans, nor the courts for what ensues.

Why Hillary Will Kill Us All

This week two significant revelations took place that should permanently swing the election away from the nominee for the Democrats.

Both revelations demonstrated that Hillary Clinton is either the world’s biggest buffoon when handling national security, or she is the world’s most dishonest person living. America is beginning to see why it is so much the latter.

On Thursday of this week revelations came to the fore that the administration—specifically the Secretary of State’s office and the President—in the run up to the implementation of the Iran deal—specifically knew that Iran was not in compliance with the terms of the deal as announced. Regardless the administration gave permission for Iran to cheat on the terms, and pushed forward with the implementation. They did so while telling the American people that Iran had met all of the required conditions—knowing they had not.

The source of this revelation was not a conservative organization, a republican politician, or a hostile opponent to the administration. The source of these observations stem from actual negotiators from the Iran agreement and will be detailed in an upcoming report by a group that studies Science and Global Security.

It is also not just merely the fact that the administration allowed Iran to cheat, as they were assuring the American people that Iran wasn’t, that’s the issue. The substance of what they were cheating on is also pertinent.

According to the sources—those familiar with the terms—Iran was allowed to retain control of nearly fifty tons of partially enriched uranium. The administration got around it because it presented to the American people the idea that the material had been relocated to Oman, Jordan. In reality the material was transported under and remains in the grasp of Iranians who guard and watch it. Again we know this because of insiders to the deal. Additionally 19 separate nuclear enrichment facilities have been allowed to retain a much larger capacity for uranium enrichment than what the American people were told, and again Clinton, Obama, Kerry knowingly allowed the Iranians to do it.

In short the American people were told that Iran was giving up all of it’s weapons-grade uranium (or any that can be turned into it), and that they capacity of the enrichment sites were small. What the report will reveal with greater detail is that Iran has the uranium that can be weaponized, they have 50 tons of it minimum, and they have big fat enrichment sites ready to weaponize it.

The other significant revelation was the pervasive and persistent lack of knowledge that Hillary Clinton claimed in her interview with the FBI on things as simple as whether or not she ever signed non-disclosure agreements that govern her behavior as it relates to interactions with classified materials. We’ve seen that she ignored those agreements, but she told Brett Baier she didn’t remember signing them. She told the FBI she either didn’t sign them, didn’t know if she had signed them, or could not recall signing them.

On my show on Friday, my friend, Dr. Charmaine Yoest, Senior Fellow at American Values, called it the worst case of “playing the dumb blonde” card she has seen.

But being a dumb blonde to the American people should be of little consequence, what should matter tremendously is what this adds up to.

The past three nominees for President for the Democrat party more or less colluded to smash a deal through with Iran that the American people overwhelmingly did not like and do not trust. After it was implemented aspects of the deal continue to sour us on the reliability of it to achieve even it’s own ultra ambitious objectives, much less continue basic national security.

This deal had secret side deals to it that have allowed for Iran (the world’s biggest terror state) to:
1. Police itself and self inspect enrichment facilities.
2. Demand and receive ransom in the $400,000,000 range for American hostages.
3. Keep 50 tons of it’s enriched uranium.
4. Be allowed to operate uranium enrichment at a much larger capacity than what was known.
5. Keep all of this information secret from the American people.

And now the Democrat party asks Americans to put a woman in charge of not only this initiative (which bore her name in the early days of the process) but to give her complete say over the remainder of all international and national security matters—when she can not remember nor seem to know if she is allowed to put classified and top secret information on a personal server that is purposefully left unprotected.

My family, like many American families, has forward serving military—some of whom deal with vital national security matters. They don’t tell us what they are. They aren’t allowed and we don’t want them to. But they deserve better than a “dumb blonde” to serve under. They deserve someone, however imperfect in many ways—will absolutely never sell out—the American people, our military, our national security, and the safety of our children.

It is a foregone conclusion, at least in my thinking, that if Hillary Clinton conducts herself as President even half as recklessly as she has to date, she will get many Americans killed.

I am not willing to give her that chance.

Are you?

Why A Murderer Says, “I’m With HER!”

One of the real scumbags on America’s death row is pulling for Hillary Clinton.

I don’t have official confirmation of this mind you. But if I was a convicted death row inmate, convicted for killing my baby and my baby mama, who I also had happened to be married to at the time I whacked them, I’d be pulling for Hillary big time.

You see convicted death row inmate Scott Peterson and Hillary Clinton agree on something very close to their hearts: a core belief that an unborn child has zero rights.

The fact that he killed his wife says a great deal. But did they ever really prove that he did it. Some would say the evidence didn’t go far enough. They would argue that jury got suckered into having the heart strings played for the “wife AND child” story that the prosecutor put forward, and man if that wasn’t enough to just do him in.

That people could honestly be allowed to believe that an unborn “person” should count in a murder charge, well, in Scott Peterson’s mind I’m confidant he believes that’s just wrong.

And guess who agrees with him?

Yes, just a few days ago on NBC’s Meet The Press and on The View the nominee of the Democratic Party openly espouses the exact same position as the Scott Peterson defense did.

It takes either the most scientifically ignorant human walking the planet, or a person who simply can not tell the truth to make the argument that Peterson and Clinton subscribe to. Since 68% of the American public believes that Hillary rarely tells the truth about nearly anything so I’ll let you draw your own conclusions about her. As for the convicted death row inmate, I think he’s highly motivated by anything that will keep him alive a few days longer.

But given the science, the technology, the ultrasounds—now in three dimensions, the ability to hear the beating heart, trace the movement of the fingers and toes, and literally observe this person (using Hillary Clinton’s own words) as he or she grows and progresses, how can we as a nation allow a woman who believes the butchering of that life is moral be allowed to ever hold office?

What about the land of the free, and the home of the brave? What about “all men are created equal, and are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable rights?”

What about all the piles of propaganda we heard last week about how Hillary Clinton cares so much about children?

What about the basic idea that “Thou shall not murder?”

What makes it a murder in the case of Scott Peterson’s conviction, and a sentence that he will pay with his life for, is what Hillary Clinton openly mocks and drips with disdain over.

Democrats are stupid people if they believe that their new platform that literally says we should be allowed to kill that child—just like Scott Peterson did—even up until the very moment of natural birth is what most Americans think is just, good, or in any way right.

Yet Hillary Clinton now stands on that platform as the standard bearer for the stupid and evil Democratic idea that killing a child—as he or she is coming into this life—is actually good.

So what does that say about her?

Well… I wouldn’t leave her alone with any kids.

So why would we consider letting her pick Supreme Court justices that would take her insane and immoral belief code and rewrite the American founding document through judicial activism? Why would we let her expand government power so that more and more of our tax dollars get used to commit genocide against babies like Connor Peterson?

Why would we as a nation stake our reputation to a woman whose belief system lines up with a convicted murderer on death row?

There has been much said about the lack of incredible choices in the general election before us in 2016. I’ve contributed to that discussion.

But can’t we all agree that someone who embraces the beliefs of a death row inmate is no more qualified to pick judges than someone who would ask to be commander in chief if say she had left our boys behind, lied to their families, and asked Congress what difference it made.

Oh wait…

Dallas PD Executed On False Premise

As a nation we mourned much of Friday for the loss of 5 Dallas PD officers whose deaths may be predicated on a completely false pretense

The man who shot the police officers, was then cornered and killed in a police stand-off, was later found to have had massive quantities of illegal explosive, military grade weaponry in his apartment.

According to the Dallas PD he expressed a desire to kill white people and white police officers–at least in part–in retaliation for the death of what had been reported about the death of Philando Castile in Falcon Heights Minnesota.

It appears, as more facts are being now made public, that nearly the entire narrative of the Castile shooting has proven false.

According to police dispatch audio Castile and Ms. Diamond Reynolds (the woman in the Facebook LIVE video) were pulled over by police because Castile matched a “Be On The Lookout” Alert for an armed robbery suspect from a day or two prior:

Since the video from Reynolds only picks up from moments after the altercation took place she was able to make a series of false statements that–even as the viral video demonstrates–upon closer examination are beginning to unravel. Unfortunately, the false statements–having gone viral, and now being pushed by everyone from the media to Black Lives Matter to the White House–have been used to create a backlash against police officers nationwide.

Police officers in: Dallas, Tennessee, Missouri, and Georgia have been ambushed, shot and/or killed in the past two days as a result of this false narrative.

Here’s a partial correction to that narrative with some previously unrevealed facts:

1. Officer who shot Castile is Hispanic: Jeronimo Yanez.

2. The two officers who pulled Castile over had just cause. Police Officers  Yanez and Joseph Kauser pulled over Mr. Castile and Ms. Reynolds because the driver, Philando Castile, matched the suspect profile in an armed robbery which occurred on July 2nd, at a convenience store, only blocks from where their car was pulled over. The armed robbery occurred on July 2nd 7:30pm (Sat). The closed circuit television images were given to media and detectives on July 5th (Tuesday). A “Be On Look Out” alert was issued the same day, Tuesday July 5th. Philando Castile was pulled over on July 6th.

3. The police radio dispatch clearly establishes the reason why officer Yanez stopped the vehicle. From the radio dispatch of Officer Jeronimo Yanez:

“I’m going to stop a car. I’m going to check IDs. I have reason to pull it over. The two occupants look just like people that were involved in a robbery. The driver looks more like one of our suspects, just ‘cause of the wide set nose.”

Roughly 90 seconds later the shooting occurs.

4. Ms. Diamond Reynolds begins to knowingly narrate the now provably false viral Facebook LIVE video.

5. Reynolds falsely claims Castile was pulled over for a broken tail light. (Dispatch recordings directly refer to the potential identity match of the armed robbery.)

6. Reynolds also falsely claims her boyfriend, Castile, was holding a concealed carry permit that was resting on his left thigh. According to the local county sheriff who oversees the Concealed Carry Permit process, Mr. Castile had never requested a concealed carry permit from their office:

7. It does appear however that while Castile did not have a concealed carry permit, nor was it sitting on his left thigh, there does appear to be a hand gun located on Castile’s thigh:

This also appears to be why Officer Yanez repeatedly instructs Ms. Reynolds not to reach toward Castile. The police report also indicated that a handgun matching the description of the gun used in the armed robbery was recovered from the scene.

8. Mr. Castile matched the physical description of the suspect as given by eye witnesses of the armed robbery.

[…] The other suspect was described as a black man with shoulder-length dreadlocks, who wore tan pants, tan shoes with white soles, a green jacket, a green baseball cap and glasses, the release says. He also had some of his hair pulled into a bun through the strap on the back of his hat and had a small mustache and facial hair on his chin.

Similar clothes as noted on the robbery suspect are also noted in the Facebook images of Mr. Castile.

Whether or not Castile committed the armed robbery would ultimately have fallen to a judge and jury to decide. But matching the description, being in the same neighborhood, an illegal gun in the car, all raised the reason for concern as Officer Yanez approached his responsibilities in keeping the community of Falcon Heights safe that day.

Seeing that officer Yanez also shot the suspect only in the arm it is clear his intention was to not immediately use deadly force to kill the suspect. The limit and location of those shots clearly demonstrate different intent (to wound) than if the officer had shot Castile in the head or torso (kill shots.)

Any direct commands not followed by the suspect would also add to the concerns of the investigating officers.

The aftermath of the video while horrific–especially as divorced from facts–led to a premature public outcry.

The Minnesota Governor’s reckless throwing of the Falcon Heights officers under the bus is unforgivable. Casting judgment on those officers before the facts were known also likely got the officers killed in Dallas.

Former NYPD Commissioner Bernie Kerik commenting on my show Friday afternoon was proper in not only his assessment of the damage that ignorant or purposefully misleading office holders can do, but also in his conclusion that the actual actions of the Minnesota Governor, President Obama, and Attorney General Lynch all contributed to the deaths of the Dallas PD with their reckless statements.

In short Officer Yanez appears to have used proper protocol and restraint in the traffic stop of Castile. It appears to save herself Castile’s girlfriend knowingly made several false statements on Facebook LIVE to attempt to begin a false narrative-which appears to have initially worked. It appears that narrative was parroted by gutless politicians who did not wait for the facts to be established before throwing law enforcement under the bus. And in doing so it appears to have green-lighted further reckless and stupid public comment from Lynch and Obama that lit the fuse to the powder keg that got twelve police officers shot nearly half of whom lost their lives.

I spent three hours on-air Friday mourning the loss of innocent victims of wrongful violence. I asked–as the Police chief in Dallas pleaded with us to do–for people to pray for our nation. Pastors of every walk of racial, geographical, and socio-economic circumstance joined.

It is my belief that the people of America genuinely wish for true resolution to be birthed.

But without building that resolve on genuine truth no trust can be built.

This series of events speaks to the lack of judgment and leadership we have in our incompetent, dishonest leaders at the very top of our nation.

More importantly it speaks as to why a change must be made.

Buhks, Chunes, & the Show…

This is my little spot to point you back to some highlights of shows and resources you may have missed during the week, but would definitely wish to reconnect with.

It’s affectionately titled “Buhks & Chunes” because an Irish songwriting friend of mine has uttered the words a hundred times and I always thought it was catchy. What he is actually saying is “books & tunes!”

We are also going to add highlights of the show that may not be attached to resources but rather just really important content for your use:

This week a variety of resources came to the fore.

The wife/mother/singer/songwriter Julianna Zobrist has some incredibly important things to say about lessons she is in the process of learning and walking through in life.

She is the wife of Ben Zobrist who won the World Series last year with the Kansas City Royals and is now a member of the division leading Chicago Cubs. And after a fresh win against the New York Mets, he had time to make it to a pre-interview showcase.

Julianna and Ben graciously invited me to her showcase the night before and then while Ben put a beating on the New York Mets, Julianna came to the studio and talked music. It was an honest and raw discussion about the challenges she has faced. The complete version of that interview can be obtained in podcast form by clicking here. However you can also watch the Facebook *LIVE* videocast of the discussion as well:

“YOU BLOCKHEAD” –  Everybody loved Peanuts by Charles M. Schulz. But not everyone gets to chat with the famous: Lucy Van Pelt.  Tracy Stratford, original voice actor for the girl who always caused Charlie Brown such misery, explained the still new project of the Peanuts’ gang attempt at teaching American children our nation’s great history.

UPDATE: Our last edition mentioned two resources that have made a bit of news since.

First our friends Keith & Kristyn Getty received the tremendous news that in their debut week their new project Facing A Task Unfinished scored #4 on the Billboard music chart. It also scored #1 for “Praise & Worship” (globally), as well as #1 for “Christian–UK” sub categories. This marks the boldest start for any Getty Music project in their history! We are thrilled for them!

Our friend and colleague Eric Metaxas cracked the Amazon Top 100 for all books with his new title If You Can Keep It debuting at #97. He finished the week at #3 in “Political Science,” and #1 in “Commentary & Opinion.”

And what’s the one thing they both had in common?
See? Speaking to the “Binge Thinker” is always a tremendous advantage!

“Sell-Outs” Abound…

So Gretchen Carlson invited me to discuss the Trump outreach to Evangelicals alongside Dr. Robert Jeffress.

He was an early endorser of Mr. Trump.

My assessment wasn’t as rosy as his, but I’m sure to labeled as a black list, heretic, sell out, for daring to state both the truth and the obvious: (click the image to watch)

Franklin Graham at Trump Meeting

A good number of people who did not attend the event this week in New York where Donald Trump accepted an invitation to come answer questions from prominent evangelical leaders, have made many claims–some of them outright false about the tone of the event.

Some described it as a Trump campaign rally, some described it as brainwashing, some claiming the name of Jesus wasn’t even mentioned.

Some claimed everyone who attended were more or less party to heresy, and contributing to the moral decline of the nation.

Of course those who made such claims forgot about the reformed theological idea of reclamation and spherical sovereignty.

But I found the transcript of much of the day, and wanted you to be made aware of what one of these sellouts had to say while “pursuing his sycophantic support for the Donald.”

He also happens to have recently renounced ALL political ties to any political party.

But if you’re really super mad that your candidate didn’t win the primary–never let a few facts stand in the way of good polemic.

Franklin Graham: “It’s been my privilege these last few months to travel across the country, to hold prayer rallies at state capitals, on their steps. When we first pulled out permits, we pulled them for 500 people, but we had no clue how many would come. Thousands and thousands gathered, in the cold in some places, early in the year in snow, in rain. We had thousands come to pray. Not to hear me, but they’d come to pray because they know our country is in trouble. And ladies and gentlemen, I don’t need to convince you of that — you know that. And as we look at who is to be the next president of the United States, many people are looking at qualities. And I’d like to take just a moment to look at the Bible.

Some of the individuals are our patriarchs: Abraham — great man of faith. But he lied. Moses led his people out of bondage, but he disobeyed God. David committed adultery and then he committed murder. The Apostles turned their back on the Lord Jesus Christ in his greatest hour of need, they turned their backs and they ran. Peter denied him three times. All of this to say, there is none of us is perfect. We’re all guilty of sin. Franklin Graham stands here in front of you today as a sinner. But I’ve been forgiven by God’s grace. He forgave me. I invited Christ to come into my heart and my life. He forgave me. There’s no perfect person — there’s only one, and that’s the Lord Jesus Christ. And he’s not running for president of the United States. This year.

So I would just like to open up with a word of prayer. Our Heavenly Father, we thank you that you love us. Thank you for sending your son Jesus Christ from heaven to this earth to save us. To save us from our sins. Thank you that he took our sins to that cross, that you raised him to life, thank you, Father. And, Father — as we look at this nation, as we look at the trouble that we’re in — Father, we recognize as a people that we have failed. We have sinned. And we ask for your forgiveness, Father. And, Father, we pray this election that you will give a man to be the president of this country who will honor life, who will respect our Constitution, who will respect the authority of the office. And, Father, we pray that your will will be done. And, Father, we ask now that you would bless this meeting and this time together, as Mr. Trump is able to answer questions. And, Father, we pray that each one here today will leave this room with a new appreciation of this man and this family. So, Father, we thank you. And in Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.”

Yep total-in the bag-sell out for political power from what I can gather…
